Monolith 7018-1 H4 R is designed to be suitable for a broad range of carbon, low alloy, and hardenable steels. It is used for welding of responsible metal structures, boilers and tanks that work under high pressure, as well as in the construction of pipelines, low temperature structural work, in shipbuilding, petrochemical, pressure vessels, power generation. Electrodes are resistant to moisture absorption.
 
CONDITIONS OF USE
  • it is recommended to hold the electrode vertically to the part
  • welding should be carried out with a very short arc and as little current as possible to prevent mixing with the base metal
  • to achieve maximum hardness on low-carbon steels, it is necessary to apply at least 3 layers
SPECIAL PROPERTIES
  • deposited metal can be tempered at a temperature of 840-860°C (1544-1580°F), followed by quenching to a temperature of 950-1000°C (1742-1832°F), and cooling in oil or in air
  • only abrasive working of deposited metal
  • abrasive wear resistance is very good, resistance to shock loads and corrosion resistance is satisfactory, heat resistance is good
